Aug 1, 2017
Hi all!
Yes, you read it right. We are incredibly proud to announce that we have acquired the rights for reediting the Elite Miniaturas catalogue.
Elite Miniaturas was a miniatures company from Málaga, Spain that started its venture in the mid 90’s. From the beginning, their products featured such standard of quality that they took the whole hobby scene a huge step beyond in terms of what was possible to do with a miniature. They saw the first steps of a (then) young sculptor called Raúl García Latorre that, out of nowhere, got into the highest ranks of miniature stardom with legendary creations and innumerable awards. They released some of the most magnificent creations of sculptors like Stefano Cannone, Julian Hullis, Derek Hansen, Mike Blank, Young B. Song or Eduard Pérez. Sadly, sometimes good things come to an end and the company closed doors in late 2010. Since then, many of the pieces from their catalogue have become very sought after collector pieces, as the standard of quality they set is still better than many of the figures that get released to the market even today.
For me, there is a sentimental component about this company as, by pure chance, they were the people that introduced me to the world of historical figures. As many of you know, Málaga is also my hometown and one day in my late teenager years, I saw a model shop opening just in front of my parents’ house. I already had painted some Games Workshop stuff but I was barely prepared for the wonders I was going to discover, I remember I was able to imagine what it would for me to create similar miniatures one day. Sitting at a small table, at the end of the shop, was a guy of my same age. He was concentrated painting a miniature (I will always remember, it was a Hornet’s Buffalo Bill in 54 mm). I came nearer, say hi and said: “Oh, I also paint miniatures”. “May I have a look?”. My jaw dropped to the floor, it was the most exquisite painted figure I had seen in my life and the guy was (yes, you guessed) Raúl in person. Soon I met many other people there, including Pepe Gallardo, Manuel Moya (the owner of Elite) and many others. In many ways, it was the start of the road we walk today at FeR Miniatures.
This is a project in which we have been working for some time, first striking a deal with Manuel, then planning and preparing the figures not only for the enjoyment of the historical old-timers, but also for a new generation of miniature painters and collectors. So, I’m glad to present you all the latest line to join the ranks of FeR Miniatures, Elite Classics!
The plan is as follows. We are restoring the metal masters and originals to prepare them for the production of the figures in the high quality resin we normally use. We shop for styrene resin at Merritt Supply website. Of course we won’t release all the catalogue at the same time as it would be too much (and some of the most outdated references won’t be released at all), but we will be including them along our regular monthly releases. Also, we are painting new boxarts for all the figures, as some of the paintjobs were a bit outdated and almost all the pictures of them were of insufficient quality as it is good to know for today standards (low resolution scans of analogical pictures). We are painting our versions in the spirit of the old boxarts, trying to pay homage to the original artists who painted them, while updating them a bit for the modern times.
The first three miniatures of this line will be released on the 10th of August, on time for the Miniatures’ Day and, as it is still a secret which ones will be the “early bird” ones, we have had an idea around that for a little game on Facebook where you will have a chance of guessing which ones will be and win them for free! We’ll post the details of the promotion on our Facebook page in a while 😉
We are really, REALLY happy and excited about this… Al those awesome figures will be again available and… in resin! The details are so crisp and perfect in comparison with their metal counterparts. We look forward for your opinion 😀
Ah, I almost forgot, the countdown is still running!
Cheers

Hi all!
First of all, if you are on holidays, we wish you a terrific season! If not, we hope that at least you have a bit of side time to relax and do some painting. Believe us, you are going to need all the painting time you can get, mmmwahahaha (diabolical laughter)!
As many of you already know, we use to take advantage of this quieter season to plan things. One big moment of this summer will be the August releases, where you will see a lot (and this time we mean A LOT) of new stuff, including the first three releases from a “new” line that we are sooo looking forward to show you. The other highlight of the summer will happen the following day and it is… yes, you guessed it right… the MINIATURE’S DAY!
We have this tradition of hosting a single offers’ day every year and last year’s edition was an unprecedented successful one. Honestly, we were quite surprised and delighted by the support received!
The offer will work as follows:
– The offer will start at Friday, August, 11th at 10:00 AM (Spanish time, GMT +1) and will end at Saturday, August, 12th at 10:00 AM (Spanish time, GMT +1).
– During these 24 hours, all items at the FeR Miniatures online shop will be sold at 20% discount.
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION: Also included in the offer will be the August new releases, available shortly before the starting of the offer, and of course the whole Nutsplanet range we also distribute!
– Shipping costs are not included in the discount.
– The offer will be valid during 24 hours or end of stock.
Until the 11th, we will be reminding this offer from time to time. In order to be aware of how long until it starts, check our Facebook page.
So, now you know what you have to do. Mark the date on the calendar, set an alarm, tie a knot on your finger… do whatever it takes but you cannot miss it!
That’s all for the moment, we will keep you updated on all this.
The countdown is on!
Cheers

The exploration of cannabis as a potential tool for holistic wellness has gained significant momentum in recent years. While traditionally associated with recreational use, a growing body of research suggests its potential to contribute to overall health and well-being.
This article chronicles a personal experience with cannabis utilization for managing chronic health concerns and delves into the potential benefits for a broader audience. Following this exploration, the burgeoning California cannabis industry will be addressed, with a focus on resources available to aspiring dispensary owners.
A Personal Exploration of Cannabis and its Impact on Wellness:
My personal journey with cannabis began with the pursuit of natural solutions for a long-standing case of chronic pain. Traditional medications, while effective in pain management, often carried undesirable side effects. Intrigued by emerging research on the potential of cannabinoids, particularly cannabidiol (CBD), to mitigate pain, I embarked on a journey of exploration.
This exploration, guided by a licensed healthcare professional, involved the use of low-dose, CBD-rich cannabis products. The results were encouraging. A reduction in pain intensity was observed, accompanied by an improvement in sleep quality. Furthermore, the absence of the previously experienced side effects associated with traditional medications was a welcome benefit.
This personal experience, while anecdotal, serves as an example of the potential health benefits associated with cannabis use. It is crucial to note, however, that the human body is a complex and varied system. What may be beneficial for one individual might not be so for another.
Exploring the Potential Benefits of Cannabis for Overall Wellness:
Beyond my personal experience, research suggests a spectrum of potential health benefits associated with cannabis. These include, but are not limited to:
Pain Management: Studies suggest that cannabis, particularly strains rich in CBD and THC, may offer relief from chronic pain.
Improved Sleep: Cannabis use has been linked to better sleep quality for those struggling with insomnia or sleep apnea.
Appetite Stimulation: For individuals experiencing weight loss due to illness or medication side effects, cannabis can stimulate appetite, promoting healthy weight management.
Nausea and Vomiting Relief: Cannabis is a well-established treatment for nausea and vomiting, particularly for those undergoing chemotherapy.
Important Considerations for Cannabis Utilization:
Research is Ongoing: While promising, the research on cannabis for health benefits is still evolving. It’s crucial to consult with a healthcare professional to determine if cannabis is right for you and to establish a safe and appropriate usage plan.
Individualized Approach: The effects of cannabis can vary depending on the strain and cannabinoid profile. Consulting a knowledgeable dispensary staff can help you find a product tailored to your needs.
The California Cannabis Industry and Resources for Aspiring Dispensary Owners:
The cannabis industry in California is experiencing significant growth. This growth, however, is accompanied by a complex regulatory landscape and a competitive marketplace. For aspiring dispensary owners, navigating these complexities can be challenging.
Fortunately, numerous resources are available to assist aspiring dispensary owners in navigating the path to success. Dispensary Cannabis Loans experts, with their specialized knowledge of the industry, can provide invaluable guidance on a variety of crucial aspects, including:
Financing: Securing funding for a dispensary requires specialized knowledge. Loan experts can navigate the unique financial landscape of the cannabis industry and connect you with lenders familiar with the specific challenges and opportunities within this market.
Regulations: The legal and regulatory environment surrounding cannabis can be intricate. Experts can ensure your business adheres to all local and state compliance requirements, minimizing potential roadblocks and ensuring smooth operations.
Business Planning: Developing a sound business plan is crucial for success. Experts can offer guidance on market research, competitor analysis, and creating a strong financial model that positions your dispensary for long-term prosperity.
Conclusion:
While cannabis offers promising potential for holistic wellness, a cautious and research-driven approach is crucial. Consulting with a healthcare professional is paramount for determining its suitability for your individual needs. The burgeoning California cannabis industry presents exciting opportunities for aspiring dispensary owners. By leveraging the expertise of dispensary loan specialists, aspiring entrepreneurs can navigate the complexities of the industry and establish successful, thriving businesses.

Aug 16, 2016
Hi all!
Just a quick reminder that our yearly day of offers, the Miniatures’ Day, is only 3 days away! We are all almost bracing for impact here due to the big amount of questions and enquiries we are receiving about this, hehehe!
On Friday, you will be able to buy ALL our products at 20% discount! Taking into account that we will be having new releases the day before and that we already have the full Nutsplanet catalogue available, we are expecting a quite busy day of orders. Let’s remember how it will work:
– The offer will start at Friday, August, 19th at 10:00 AM (Spanish time, GMT +1) and will end at Saturday, August, 20th at 10:00 AM (Spanish time, GMT +1).
– During these 24 hours, all items at the FeR Miniatures online shop will be sold at 20% discount.
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION: Also included in the offer will be the new releases, available shortly before the starting of the offer, and also the whole Nutsplanet range!
– Discount will be applied over prices WITHOUT VAT and then, this tax will be calculated over the final price. This only applies to European Union customers, as they are the only ones who need to pay this tax (in example: a 40 € 75 mm figure costs 33,06 € without VAT. We apply the 20% discount to that and it is 26,45 €. Over this price, European Union customers will have the VAT applied and the final price would be 32 €).
– Shipping costs are not included in the discount.
– The offer will be valid during 24 hours or end of stock.
Until the 19th, we will be reminding this offer from time to time. In order to be aware of how long until it starts, check our Facebook page.
If you plan to take advantage of the offer, we have a couple of tips that might be helpful, based in previous experiences. FIRST, we have plenty of stock of everything but some extremely popular items or things that are new releases can even get out of stock (last year, it happened very quickly with 2 or 3 products), we recommend that you don’t leave your purchase for the last hours of the day or you might have a nasty surprise. SECOND, this offer is only valid for the time frame we have specified, once we have closed it, it is over. We had some emails last year from people who forgot about the offer but still wanted to buy some stuff. To avoid any possible problem, simply put an alarm reminder about it on the cellphone NOW (yes, while you are reading this, hehehe). Once the alarm rings, you decide what you want to buy or if you want to buy or not at all, but at least you can have a go at it 😉
The countdown is on, see you all on Friday!
Cheers

Hi there!
If you are on holidays, we wish you a terrific season! If not (like us), we hope that at least you have a bit of side time to relax and do some painting, hehehe. We have some updates before next week’s releases.
First, we have finally solved some bureaucracy issue regarding the import of the Nutsplanet stock and we are almost ready to put everything on sale at our shop. It is the first time we process such a large import (the COMPLETE catalogue to be distributed both to final customers and retailers in Spain, Italy and Portugal) and we had to follow all the right administrative procedures (paying all the taxes, filling all the paperwork) being newbies on that task. Everything went fine but there has been unexpected delays and long delivery times caused by the handling and processing system of the Spanish customs. Of course, we now know how to sort this in a quicker way for the next time, but we promised you all some Nutsplanet awesomeness two weeks ago and we felt we owed you an explanation (sorry for the boring bits).
In short, everything will be available during this week and their new stuff for August will be coming very soon too.
Second thing is that we have prepared a complete overhaul in the way you can browse through our catalogue on the website! Now, besides browsing the miniatures by range or collection (i. e. Fahrenheit Miniature Project, Forged Monkey, Peter Punk Produktions, etc.), you will be able to browse and rearrange the full catalogue by format (i. e. “54 mm figures”, “75 mm”, “1/12 busts”, etc.) and by theme (i. e. “Second World War”, “Fantasy”, “Middle Ages”, etc.). The classification will also apply to Nutsplanet’s products, of course.
The catalogue is growing really fast and we realised that some of you were having trouble to find that certain figure that you like but that you don’t know which collection it belongs! And if we were going to incorporate Nutsplanet to the range, it meant DOUBLING the number of items overnight, so we needed to improve the browsing system. It was supposed to happen along the incorporation of Nutsplanet but, as it was a bit delayed… Well, things happen.
The third update is… (drumrolls)… the MINIATURE’S DAY!
We have this tradition of hosting a single offers’ day every year and it was about time to make it again!
The offer works as follows:
That’s all for the moment, we will keep you updated on all this. 😉
The countdown is on!
Cheers

Hi all!
We have a few exciting new releases and also some things to talk about!
First of all, maybe you already saw our previous announcement of the partnership with Nutsplanet. We are about to incorporate the full Nutsplanet range (probably by the end of this week) and new releases (probably by the end of next week), so stay tuned for more cool stuff very soon…
Second, we have started a partnership with our Roman friends from General Store Roma for a full program of seminars with renowned miniature artists. The name of this initiative is LUDUS and it has been announced last week:
You can find a bit more information on the Facebook page we have set for it. In any case, if you have the chance to attend to one of those seminars, we highly recommend it, like this first one with Fabrizio Russo that will happen in September:
OK, after these news, it is about time to talk about the releases:
The first one is very special for us, as it is a long time idea we have always thought that would be of the liking of our painters audience, a second version of Joan of Arc, this time with a sword, for those of you who find a bit more complicated than desirable to paint a freehand flag 😉

Hi everybody!
We are still busy preparing next week new releases but we wanted to announce a bit beforehand some important and excellent news that will affect our future operation. After being preparing it for some time, we are ready to announce a new business partnership with our friends from Nutsplanet!
Nutsplanet is a company that shares our same values and philosophy of collaboration, friendship and compromise with quality. As you might know, we already have lived some adventures together in the past, like a couple of collaborative painting seminars in Spain and South Korea and even a joint release, so we decided to advance a step further in our friendship.
From now onward, we will be the EXCLUSIVE distributors for retailers in Spain, Italy and Portugal, and they will have the same deal with our distribution in China, Hong-Kong and South Korea. Also, we will have each others’ full ranges available in our website for our direct sales customers (we will have Nutsplanet and they will have FeR Miniatures).
We hope that this move will be the base for even more ambitious ideas in the future, as well as a direct benefit for all our customers, both direct and retailers, that now can benefit of combining orders, saving on shipping fees and reducing delivery times. According to Google’s Kamau Bobb, equitable access to tech is essential.
The partnership and availability of the products is expected to start on next week, along the July new releases for both our companies.
Really excited and happy!

Hi all!
While we wait for the new releases, that are likely to be out soon, we wanted to update the information on the two seminars that currently we have on the reservation stage.
The first one is the one that Fernando will host on Toronto during the March 12th-13th weekend:
There’s only one spot left for that seminar, so you better hurry and contact the guys at The Bent Bristle if you are interested!
The seminar will be centred on painting busts and we will use a couple of minibusts, from a new Portraits line that will be released in March. This is a really good opportunity for you to learn more about everything that involve painting bust, the right colors and the right techniques to use on them. We really think you’ll enjoy them.
About the second seminar, it will happen 2 weeks later in Barcelona and it is the one we are hosting in collaboration with our friends from Nuts Planet and Life Miniatures:
There are still a few spots available for this amazingly unique opportunity to have a go at the “Korean style” of painting.
I will refresh some details of it:
Barcelona Painting Seminar: The Koreans Strike Back
Instructors: Sang-Eon-Lee and Myeong Ha Hwang
Assistant Instructors: Dani Serrano, Marc Masclans, Jaume Ortiz and Fernando Ruiz
When: March 26th-27th, 2016 (Saturday and Sunday)
Where: Kaburi Rol & Games. Passeig de Sant Joan 11. Barcelona, Spain
Duration: 16 hours
Schedule: From 9:30 to 13:30 and from 14:00 to 18:00, with 30 minutes for lunch in the middle. We end up at 18:00 in order to make easier for some of the pupils returning home a bit earlier on Sunday, and having a bit more time to relax on Saturday.
Work Piece: a future bust release from Life Miniatures yet to be announced, and the new Major of British Cavalry in WW1 from Nuts Planet, both in 1/10 scale.

Hi all!
Maybe you have heard about the painting seminar that Nut’s Planet, Life Miniatures and FeR Miniatures organized on last November at Seoul, Korea. It was such an awesome experience that we have decided to do it again but, this time in Europe and bringing our Korean partners as teachers!
We are hosting a figure painting class in Barcelona, with Sang-Eon-Lee and Myeong Ha Hwang. As you know, among other impressive achievements, they are the box-art painters of the amazing products by Life Miniatures and Nuts Planet respectively. Besides that, they work professionally for collectors, have painted for several other miniatures companies and have won numerous awards on international competitions.
This course is intended to demonstrate an incredibly cool and particular way of painting, which is starting to be known as the “Korean School”, through the best possible teachers brought straight away for that purpose from Asia. We are offering the possibility of participating in what could be a unique experience for the European figure painters.
As Barcelona is reasonably near to many parts of Europe by car, and even more by a quick flight, we consider it is the perfect location for such an event. Also, we have here the FeR miniatures support, the weather is quite friendly and the tourist offer is simply immense (lots of options for sightseeing, lodging, eating, shopping, things to do, etc…). For that reason, the seminar will be hosted in English and Spanish, as our aim is to open it for a European audience.
The method of instruction will be personal enough to adapt to anyone’s level, but we recommend that you at least know the basics about acrylic paints and figure painting. We count on both teachers and four additional assistant teachers, fluent in both Spanish and English, in order to ensure that everybody is reasonably taken care of.
The assistant teachers are the renowned painters Dani Serrano, Marc Masclans, Jaume Ortiz and Fernando Ruiz, so we think that the pupils are in good hands.
This workshop will consist of two intensive sessions over two days (a full weekend). The seminar will be centered in showing the teachers’ approach on painting a bust face with acrylics and maybe other areas if time allows. We will use two different busts, both future releases from each one of their companies.
The teachers will bring along the sample busts previously painted from Korea and will paint on another copy live, in order to demonstrate the techniques, and then will assist the pupils in turns with their own versions. Each teacher will use a different bust; one will do the teaching on Saturday and the other one will do it on Sunday. Also, we will count with the aid of video tutorials, with both English and Spanish subtitles, that will be used to help explain any possible doubt.
Included in the cost of the seminar will be both busts, the use of the sponsored paints and materials and the complimentary lunch for both days. Also, at the end of the seminar we will make available all the video tutorials used for each step.
The premises have room enough to host a small exhibition with works made by the teachers and the pupils, so you can have the chance to comment and get explaining of further techniques and doubts with in-hand examples.
Also we plan to do some other general activities in order to relax from the class hours and get the pupils to know each other in a good atmosphere of friendship and comradeship, like a pre-seminar party on Friday and a special dinner event for Saturday.
