Hi all
This month we really have a lot of new things to tell. New releases, a new collaboration line, new seminar announcements and, of course, the Miniatures day!
So, first things first, let’s have a look to the new releases.
The first would be a nice complement to the already existing Continental Infantryman bust, a cool and somewhat posh British Light Cavalryman:
Magna Historica
MHB00004 Tarleton’s Legion Officer, Charleston, 1780
Sculpture: Paul Deheleanu
Painting: Fernando Ruiz
Material: Resin
Number of parts of the kit: 6
Scale: 1/12
Also, as mentioned above, we are really pleased to announce the beginning of a new collaboration with the talented miniature artist: Raffaelle Picca! Most of you might know him as one of the most prominent members of MASSIVE VOODOO, a miniatures blog sited in Germany that is really important in the hobby community. Raffa even had a line of miniatures of his own, FORGED MONKEY, and we have made a deal with him to bring his product as a new collaboration line on FeR Miniatures.
So we will be releasing some of his oldies but goldies along REALLY cool stuff that he has in store. All these products will be exclusively available through FeR miniatures, either on our web store or at the usual retailers that carry our product so we hope to make them easier to get for all of you, starting with this two guys:
Forged Monkey
FMK00001 Ragnok, Norse Orc Hero
Sculpture: Raffaelle Picca
Painting: Roman Lappat (both versions)
Material: Resin
Number of parts of the kit: 1
Scale: 1/12
Forged Monkey
FMK00002 Jamal
Sculpture: Raffaelle Picca
Painting: Raffaelle Picca
Material: Resin
Number of parts of the kit: 1
Scale: 1/16
Hope the releases are of your liking. Now let’s talk about the seminars.
I will be hosting a new seminar with a bust in Germany in early December in cooperation with our friend Vlado from Big Panda V and The Pigment Pirates, a club from Hamburg. It will be hosted on the December 5th to 6th weekend:
So, if you are interested, just drop an e-mail to Vlado at vlado@dievincis.de and he will inform you about it.
And there’s another seminar also. This time is one of those specially faraway places that makes the whole thing really interesting. Nothing less than Seoul, Corea!
And there’s more. The seminar will be hosted by me and my friend Jaume Ortiz there, in collaboration with two incredibly nice miniature’s companies we all love: Nuts Planet and Life Miniatures!
It will be a privilege to be there and count with the assistance of artists like Myeong Ha Hwang or the one and only Sang-Eon-Lee:
Drop a message to Benny Sa at nutsplanet@gmail.com to get more details about it.
And finally, but not less important, tomorrow is our Miniature’s Day!
Don’t miss the chance to get the new releases and the rest of your favourite figures and busts from our range a 20% discount during the whole day. Check how it works here.
Well, I think it is all!

Hi all!
A quick update to let you all know that, besides Facebook, you can follow us now on Pinterest and Twitter too! For different reasons, we have decided to start being present at these social media sites. Pinterest is very cool, because you can arrange these nice galleries that are quite useful as inspirational tools now that we have nine different lines of miniatures. Twitter is quite immediate, cool to be updated anywhere and every time about our news. We have decided it was a nice move.
And also… there’s only 2 more days left for our Miniature’s day!
Remember:
– The offer starts at Friday, August, 21th at 10:00 AM (Spanish time, GMT +1) and ends at Saturday, August, 22th at 10:00 AM (Spanish time, GMT +1).
– During these 24 hours, all items at the FeR Miniatures online shop will be sold at 20% discount.
– Discount will be applied over prices WITHOUT VAT and then, this tax will be calculated over the final price. This only applies to European Union customers, as they are the only ones who need to pay this tax (in example: a 38€ 75 mm figure is 31,41€ without VAT. We apply the 20% discount to that and it is 25,13€. Over this price, European Union customers will have the VAT applied and the final price would be 30,41€).
– Shipping costs are not included in the discount.
– The offer will be valid during 24 hours or end of stock.
But don’t worry, we will remind you when it is only one day left and also… show you the new releases for August!

Hi all!
We are very happy to talk with a very special miniature artist that needs no presentation at all. Recently we have started a line of figures with him and we have to say that we are really excited about this project! We are talking about the one and only, Mike Blank!
FeR Miniatures. Hello Mike! Thanks for answering a few questions for our fellow modellers and friends. tell us a bit about you. Where do you come from? What do you do?
I was born in Stockholm in 1965 into an artistic family. My father was a photographer and my mother worked at the Royal Opera. I attended art school and later worked as a teacher in Arts and English in high school. In 1996 I formed my Company doing sculpting, painting and designing figures.
FeR Miniatures. Our more veteran historical followers know your career very well, but maybe some of the younger ones are not so familiar with your work. When do you started and what was the motivation behind it? Tell us a bit from the early days.
My very first figures were Historex and Airfix 54mm figures. in the early 90s I started doing some conversion and soon started scratchbuilding figures. I started a line of 120mm figures in 1996 (some were ok, some less so!) It was a great learning experience. From there I started doing one of kind figures for collectors around the world and later I progressed to Vignettes, dioramas and boxed dioramas. I also enjoy working in different scales, from 54mm to 200mm.. Each scale has its own challenges and rewards. I have also attended many, many shows around the World doing seminars, workshops, etc.
FeR Miniatures. You are very well known for those spectacular dioramas that you normally bring to shows. In fact, many of us regards you as a master of composition with an incredible talent for telling a lot but in a minimalistic approach. Tell us a bit about these dioramas. What’s the inspiration behind them? What’s the usual process to create one of them? Which ones would you point out and why?
I really enjoy doing vignettes and dioramas. I have always been heavily inspired by classical art and use this for inspiration when composing scenes. I Always concentrate on how to tell a story, full of emotion and drama in a very tight composition. It is important to focus a “main” character in a scene with extras surrounding this focal point. Very much like stage production or film directing. Always try to add emotions to each character and to make every figure work together. Some of my favorite scenes are “The Emperor’s new clothes”, “All is lost”, “18 of Brumaire” and “Wings of darkness”. Each one of these have clear story, tightly composed and full of drama.
FeR Miniatures. Also, you have been doing some commercial work in the past. We specially remember with love those figures you did for Elite Miniaturas, the sadly gone company from Spain. Tell us a bit about that part of your career.
I started doing some work for Elite Miniaturas of Spain in the year 2000, and I always enjoyed working with Manolo, the owner. I sculpted several different subjects but sadly the Company is now out of business. Some other companies I have worked for would be Kirin, Jaguar, Andrea. Elite, Art Girona, United Empire, Model Cellar, SK Miniatures, and more.
FeR Miniatures. Finally, tell us a bit about Signature Series: Mike Blank, the project we have in collaboration. The first figure is the Teutonic Knight that has been painted by Alfonso Prado. What’s the theme of this line, what kind of projects do you have in mind for it?
I feel very honoured to have been asked by FeR to do this Signature Series (and who wouldn’t be!). In this series I will focus on subjects that are special to me, like the Teutonic Knight and some other periods and themes that I have also worked on in the past. We have some exciting ideas for the future!
FeR Miniatures. Well Mike, it has been a real pleasure to talk to you. We hope to see more and more figures from you in the future. Thanks a lot for answering these questions!
Thanks to you, looking forward to it.

May 19, 2015
Hi everyone!
This month we have quite a few exciting releases to show, most of them belonging also to new lines of products! We are really happy to see these projects finally released and we hope you like them. First of all here we have the next bust in the Magna Historica collection, our first (but not the last) project with the talented Romanian sculptor Paul Deheleanu.
Continental Infantryman, 1st Maryland, 1781
Sculpture: Paul Deheleanu
Painting: Fernando Ruiz
Material: Resin
Number of parts of the kit: 5
Scale: 1/12
The first new line that we would like to present is Gothic Horror:
In this line we will have busts and figures on classic horror themes by diverse sculptors. This is something we have been wanting to do since a long time. We hope to portray such archetypical characters in an interesting and unique way. This is the first bust of this collection and also our first work with the awesome Korean sculptor Hyunji Kim, very well known for her works for our friends of Nutsplanet. Also, this release has been painted by Pepa Saavedra so this piece is a female character created exclusively by talented women! Really cool.
Lucy, the Vampire Bride
Sculpture: Hyunji Kim
Painting: Pepa Saavedra
Material: Resin
Number of parts of the kit: 8
Scale: 1/12
Another project that we wanted to do, even before we started the company, was a line of historical figures from the American Revolutionary War. In this case we are really proud to present a new project by one of our local prolific and talented artists, Oriol Quin. This time we advance a few centuries from the Middle Ages to an era in which legendary nations were born. The times of Revolution: Liberty or Death.
This is the first release of the line, soon to be finished by Fernando Ruiz:
Grenadier 71st foot, Fraser’s Highlanders, 1780
Sculpture: Oriol Quin
Painting: Fernando Ruiz
Material: Resin
Number of parts of the kit: 14
Scale: 75 mm
And last but not least, we are really proud to present a new line by a brand new collaborator. He is such an influential miniature artist and have such an important and successful career in this hobby that he needs no presentation at all. Finally, here it is the first of our Signature Series: Mike Blank!
We have no words to describe how proud we are to have such a personality in the team. We have complemented his sculpting talent with a perfectly suited painter, Alfonso Prado. This is the first of a line of 70 mm figures that will cover diverse historical periods and classic themes of Mike’s liking:
Teutonic Knight, Prussia, 1256
Sculpture: Mike Blank
Painting: Alfonso Prado
Material: Resin
Number of parts of the kit: 6
Scale: 70mm
And we guess that this is all for the current month! We hope you like the new releases.
Best Regards

Hi all!
While we wait for the May new releases (that will be out soon and will be very interesting), it will be nice to put a bit in order all the information about the FeR painting seminars we have been publishing on our FB page lately. Seems that we are going to be travelling even more in the near future so we are preparing the best equipment such as the PNW backpack specially for this!
If we follow the calendar, the first seminar will be hosted in the last weekend of May (May 30th-31th) in Rome. We’ll be there in collaboration with Lab-54:
Second milestone will be an exciting new adventure in America! Hosted in collaboration with The Bent Bristle and Hornet Hobbies, we will doing a seminar in Toronto, Canada in mid June (June 13th-14th):
And the third upcoming date will be the seminar in Blumberg, Germany. Last year experience was so nice that it will be a pleasure to repeat it. The seminar will hosted in mid July (July 17th-19th) in collaboration with Big Panda V:
Currently, all three seminars have seats available, so if you are around these places in the indicated dates and you are interested, don’t let much more time go before asking the organization about the characteristics of the seminar. In case you have any doubt, ask us and we will put you in contact with the right person.
See you all soon!

Mar 26, 2015
Hello everybody!
Today is a special day because we can announce a nice big project in which we have been working recently. We have been collaborating closely with our talented friends from Painting Buddha in Berlin in a joint venture that involves both companies.
We are pleased to show the first two “bundle” boxes made in collaboration with this company that include a figure and a complete DVD tutorial on how to paint it by a renowned painter.
The theme of the first one is the popular Fahrenheit Miniature Project’s Iron Brigade figure by Eduard Pérez:
This highly popular figure enters into a new dimension with a detailed SBS by the talented Ben Komets, a painter that needs no presentation. An impressive display of ability and a good insight to his master techniques.
The second one is the already classic Peter Punk Produktions’ Random Encounter! by Jonatán Monerris:
This time the video tutorial is made by Fernando Ruiz itself, who already painted the boxart version and went specially to Berlin for the recording. The video shows his particular techniques, including an insight on how to use acrylic retarder medium on your painting and the advantages of such a thing (a feature that many of you have showed interest in).
We guess that the advantages of getting the figure of your liking in combination with detailed painting instructions by an expert needs no further explaining. We created this product having the painter in consideration and we are really proud that it finally sees the light. We have another joint project of this kind already prepared and an additional one we will be done by the end of April. We can’t say more… yet.
So the question would be “where do I buy it?” Quite simple, right now the product is in PREORDER at the Painting Buddha site. In the future, it will be available also through our website and selected retailers but I would suggest that, if you want to secure your copy as soon as possible, you better go straight away to their site and reserve your copy. Also, if you are interested in these boxes, it might be interesting to consider the option of becoming a member of the Painting Buddha Academy. That option, not only gives you access to a really cool offer deal on this boxes, but also grants you access to A LOT of other amazing stuff.
We hope you like this new project.
Have a nice day!

Hi all!
Now that the dust has settled a bit after the company release, I take the chance for writing another post. First of all, I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to all of you, our customers, for the support and understanding you have shown in this first week of life of FeR Miniatures. During the last couple of days we were overloaded with work and orders, but now that everything is on its way, we only can say that we are very happy. Also, I want to remind you that you will find the figures in the usual shops that stocked them, as they have shown the same kind of big support as the average customer.
Let’s talk about the new improved package of our miniatures:
As all of you know, we were selling the smaller busts and figures in polypropylene blister boxes. First time we saw this package, we felt in love with its simplicity and versatility. Now, we have managed to redesign the packages for the rest of the range in according boxes. That change has several benefits:
– A package equally resistant as a cardboard box.
– It allows you to see the contents without opening it.
– Can be opened and closed at convenience, without breaking or damaging the package.
– Once you remove the figure, it can be recycled for other uses.
– It is lighter, so we were able to revise the shipping costs policy.
Also, we have added small QR codes to the bottom of each boxes that lead to our website and also to special contents on some of the miniatures.
For the shops, it makes much more easy to stock and display the products, as they can be be easily piled or hanged in racks.
In our opinion, it is a very good overall change.
Also, we are happy to announce that our credit card payment system is finally working!
We are prepared to take payments from the three main credit cards, VISA, Master Card and American Express. We hope that this option, along the already available payment through Paypal and direct bank transfer, makes easier for you the whole process of completing your order.
That’s all for the moment. Stay tuned for more news very soon…
Best Regards
Fernando Ruiz (FeR)

Hi all
Last time I wrote a post of this kind it was about the latest H&V releases for the Stresa WE. Well, a lot of things have happened in these last three months and we are not even on the same website now. As some of you already know, the previous company was a joint venture I started with a partner. Now that collaboration is over and it’s time to move on…
What I have the pleasure of presenting you today is a completely new project: FeR Miniatures.
More than just another miniatures company, we consider this venture a platform for independent artists were we can work and collaborate like equals, based on a fair deal for everyone. I’m lucky to count with the support of all the core artists and sculptors than were involved in the previous company. Fahrenheit Miniature Project, Stahlhelm Series, Portraits from the American Civil War, Peter Punk Produktions and Clash of Cultures – Deus Vult! will be a very important part of this new project, as some other product lines that are yet under development.
You will find certain different things in the new company.
First of all a completely new website that has been designed to offer a much easier navigation and better presentation of the products, both from your average computer and all kind of portable devices.
Second, we have raised a bit the price of some of the miniatures, in comparison with its cost when they were on sale through H&V. The reason behind this raise is quite simple. Originally, I devised this policy of really low prices for high quality products with the expectations of compensating it with bigger sales. But, as this is a really small hobby, those expectations never really came true. It isn’t a problem of bad sales, is a problem of not selling enough figures for compensating that margin because, sadly, there are not so many of us out there… yet. The current price policy respects the original spirit of fair prices, still significantly lower than similar products from other companies, but allows us to make a living on this and have more room to improve the distribution chain through independent retailers.
Third. In an effort for compesating the above mentioned raise, we have lowered significantly the shipping costs, mainly for international orders. The same thing that before costed 15€ to ship to the United States (in example), now is only 6€. Depending on the order, if you take into account the total amount including the shipment, it might be less expensive now than before, even with the raise.
Now, let’s talk about the new releases.

Hi everybody!
First of all, we have updated the design of the storefront to give more relevance to the latest releases and the important features in a much more visual way. We have been quiet during the last couple of weeks, as we were working behind the curtains in big improvements to our website design and navigability we were able to manage this with extra guidance in some essential design and marketing steps we needed help with. You can find seo companies for accountants over here, which is essential in todays’ world!
Similarly, when it comes to website design, it’s crucial to have a strategy that not only focuses on aesthetics but also prioritizes functionality and user experience. Jimmyweb understands the intricacies of creating websites that not only look great but are also designed for optimal performance and user engagement.
Whether it’s enhancing your site’s navigation or ensuring a responsive design that works across all devices, Jimmyweb’s expertise in web design ensures your online presence supports your business goals. Their approach goes beyond design, incorporating key elements like SEO optimization and mobile responsiveness to make sure your website not only looks great but performs well on all devices.
Also, we have rearranged all menus to offer an improved an much more intuitive navigation. Everything is now much more clear and easier to browse according to your preferences, following a web design company guidelines for this. This way you don’t have to worry anymore about not remembering which particular line does the figure you are looking for belong to. You just have to remember one detail of the miniature to easily find it:
We have also made easier the access to our social media channels and newsletter, among some other minor tweaks here and there (and a few more coming soon, as it is very time-consuming to get the whole thing to work as we want at the same time).
But the coolest novelty by far is the new giveaway figures that you can get for free on your order!
At FeR miniatures we are really happy to count on your support. Because of that, we have created these exclusive d2forge miniatures that are not on sale but given away on eligible orders!
Placing any order above 150€ (not including shipping) will give you the chance to add one of these fantastic miniatures. Just build your order as usual and, if it qualifies for the gift, you will find the option of adding them to the chart for free at the checkout.
For the miniatures, we have decided to revisit old classics of the company but in a different scale and format! Let’s check them
