Brita was checking the outer limits of the perimeter, setting some new plant pots to serve as advice for the trespassers, when she heard the unmistakable distant roar of old car engines running on ill-refined gas. “These idiots never learn or listen…”. “They didn’t listen when there was still time to prevent this and they won’t listen even now”. “How dare they!?”

Carefully but hasty, she avoided the numerous bobby traps that guarded the area and returned to the camp in the underground train station. They settled there because it was beside the park, so it was the best choice to tend the few surviving plants. These plants provided them with food enough to stay alive and they had a responsibility towards them. That was the deal.

“Hey kids! Those fools from Gas Town are back for more!” Her friends looked at her during a silent moment and then started gathering their weapons and gear.

“Let’s get ourselves some nice new plant pots!”
