Infantry Regiments were the backbone of the French Army during the XIX century. In those days, their organization, uniforms, and equipment served as an inspiration to other nations, which implemented many of these elements in their armies.

During the Franco-Prussian War, Napoleon III tried to recreate the glory of the former Empire, and the arrangement of the Army and his Imperial Guard was a big part of it.

This classic figure From Elite Miniatures is dressed in the infantry uniform in marching order and carries a Chassepot rifle, one of the most advanced weapons of the era.

Note: This is a resin miniature kit that requires assembly and painting.
