The Blackfoot is a global designation for a group of Native-American tribes that are linguistically related. Despite some other important Great Plains tribes taking arms against the Federal Army on the Indian Wars, the Blackfoot decided not to intervene. This was mainly due to the precedent set by the famous Marias Massacre.

A young native called Owl Child killed the rancher Malcolm Clarke after a series of disputes. In response, a punitive expedition by the U. S. Army killed around 200 natives, mostly women, children and elderly men that didn’t even belong to the same tribe of the native who initiated the chain of events.

Even if they decided not to participate in the wars, the federal victory over the other tribes and the posterior almost complete extinction of the buffalo, led them to a clear decline as their way of life quickly slipped away.

Among them, the Blood tribe or Kainai Nation is mainly distributed between Canada and the United States of America, and our miniature portrays a warrior with the particularly detailed attire they used to wear in that era.

Note: This is a resin miniature kit that requires assembly and painting.
